Pad Ga prao (Thai Basil Minced meat)

Hey Veggie-friends!
Lets continue with our asian theme with this Pad Ga prao also known as Thai Basil Minced meat. this is one of my absolute favorite dishes from Thailand, and something I used to eat so much of when I lived in Thailand pre-vegan.
so without further ado lets jump right into the recipe! Ive been SO EXCITED to post this, as I finally perfected the vegan version of it! I hope you will love it as much as I do :-)


YOU WILL NEED
HALF A CUP OF RICE VINEGAR
ONE TABLE SPOON OF SOYA SAUCE
3 TEASPOONS OF SUGAR
A CUP OF VEGETABLE BROTH
1 TEASPOON OF SMOKED SALT
4 FRESH CHILI‘S
100G OF THAI BASIL
3 SPRING ONIONS
2 LIMES
6 PIECES OF GARLIC
250G OF DRIED SOYA MINCE
2 TABLE SPOONS OF COCONUT OIL
DIRECTIONS
ADD TWO TABLE SPOONS OF COCONUT OIL (OR ANY OTHER FRYING OIL) TO A HOT WOK
THEN ADD CHOPPED SPRING ONIONS, CHILIS, AND PRESSED GARLIC.
FRY FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN ADD THE SOYA MINCE LET THE MINCE TAKE IN THE FLAVOURS WHILE STIRRING FOR 2 MINUTES AND THEN ADD IN THE RICE VINEGAR, SUGAR, SMOKED SALT, SOYA SAUCE, AND VEGETABLE BROTH.
KEEP STIRRING FOR AROUND 5 MINUTES ON HIGH HEAT. (STIR UNTIL THE MINCED MEAT HAS ABSORBED THE LIQUID AND ALL THE FLAVOURS ARE EQUALLY MIXED)
TURN OFF THE HEAT AND ADD IN THE CHOPPED THAI BASIL LEAFES. ADD TO RICE, OR NOODLES AS PREFFERED.
TOP WITH LIME JUICE, CHILI, EXTRA THAI BASIL LEAFES OR SPRING ONIONS.
