PEANUT BUTTER JELLY SANDWICHES.. (also known as the best thing everrr) used to be one of my favorite things to eat when i wanted to eat something delicious and sweet - quick. if you buy jam from the store you might not know how unhealthy it actually is.

I know i used to think that its just berries, and maybe a bit of sugar so it cant be that unhealthy, right? well, if you dont know, most store bought jams contain A LOT of sugar and is really not good for you. the same goes for any nut butter like Peanut Butter which contains anything but the peanuts. look in the back and find the ones that says 100% peanuts. otherwise what you think is just a innocent PBJ Sandwich might just be a Huge calorie bomb.

the good thing about this is, that you really don't notice the difference to having the sugary peanut butter and jam or the healthier version. its the combination of the sour berries and the peanut butter that makes this combination so good. and it is only enhanced by both of them not being overly sweetened.

not saying PBJ sandwiches are the most healthy option, but atleast its a lot healthier this way than it would have been otherwise.

so heres my super easy Raspberry jam recipe, you can make it with any kind of berry or fruit you prefer and it usually holds 3-4 days in the fridge. (mine is always gone latest on day 3)

you can make the PBJ sandwich with any nut butter for a bit of variety and you can make your own nut butter if you have a high speed blender just by blending the nuts pure until they turn into a a creamy butter consistency.

HERES WHAT YOU WILL NEED

2 CUPS OF FROZEN RASPBERRIES

1 CUP OF WATER

5 TABLE SPOONS OF CHIA SEEDS

(STEVIA OR 1 TEASPOON OF SUGAR IF YOU WANT IT TO BE SWEETER) I PERSONALLY DONT USE SUGAR.

add the raspberries to a small pot and add in the water and half of the chia seeds. boil until rasberries are all able to be easily mashed (i use a potato masher) mash all the berries until they are all mixed in with the water and chia seeds, bring to a final boil and then let them cool down. when they are cooled down, add them into a small mason jar and add in the rest of the chia seeds and mix it with a spoon. let the mixture cool for atleast 3 hours and then its ready for use.

Enjoy!
